| Russell Simmons is the third richest hip hop entrepreneur, having a net-worth estimate of $340 million. He is only behind Jay-Z at $547M, and P Diddy at $358M. AND WHERE ARE YOU ?

| And ultimately lose that “why try” attitude? What if we stopped talking about this and that, and just did this and that? What if the brothers and sisters who have already lost the fear and made their dreams into realities, decided to help the rest of us? What would our world be like then? Where would we be? Without a question, better individually and collectively!
For what better way is there to improve ourselves, communities, and state of living, if not with and through one another? Who could teach you about finances better than someone financially well off? Who could teach you about fear, better than someone who has overcome those very same fears? The answers are simple … no one! No one is a better teacher than a former student who has shown extraordinary talents in that field. And it is always easier to listen to and learn from a peer, than to listen to and learn from and outsider.
So, what is it that holds us back from being all that we can be and doing all that we can do? Ourselves! Either we’re individually afraid to branch out into what we know we have the abilities to do. Or those of us that has and continues to excel, forget where we come from. Ultimately, both instances hurt our collective body immensely

| Have you ever come across a young brother or sister that was so gifted and talented at something it blew you away? Something that made you say: “You should pursue…” “I think you should…” “Have you ever thought about…” – Yet their response was “he or they wont allow me to do this or that”? I know you have. And it is just that type of fear and thinking that has kept and continues to keep so many of our beautiful minds caged; Locked away where it can’t do anyone or anything any good. It is also the food, which keeps this urban legend alive, making our past nightmares and horrors, a scary reality.
See, a person can only fail so much, until they eventually give up. ‘Til they begin to settle for here and now, oppose to striving for a better tomorrow. It’s the point of no return theory, whereas it is shorter to continue down this path of destruction, than to turn around and rebuild fresh. Unfortunately, that is where we are at with so many of our people. Many no longer what to take the long hard road of success out of fear of “the man” eventually seeking, finding and destroying them. So, they toddle along the path of destruction, many never looking back.
But, what if that stopped? What if we, as a people stopped succumbing to the conclusion and fear of “the man”? What if we, collectively decided to take alternative routes? What if we finally rid ourselves of the fear that if we attempt to better ourselves “the man” will somehow take it away. | | |
